WSOP 2010 with UB
To encourage as many people as possible to use a UB referral code and make a deposit, those intending to play in this year’s World Series of Poker (WSOP) can receive an exclusive UB bonus if they can win their way into the event via UB. This isn’t like the standard bonus that requires a UB referral code, though. If you can win your way into the Main Event by playing Sit N’ Go’s (SnGs) or multi-table satellites, you will receive cash for being on Team UB.
UB adds money to a special prize pool for each player that qualifies for a seat and the more that qualify, that higher the UB bonus prize pool becomes. Assuming that at least 51 players win seats for the Main Event through UB, the prize pool will contain $5,000 multiplied by the total number of qualifiers. When it’s all said and done, 75% of this prize pool will be given to the players that play in the Main Event and the remaining 25% will be allocated to the people that win money in the event. Hopefully this isn’t the case, but if none of the UB players can cash the event, the entire prize pool is dished out evenly between everyone.
Some people like some calculations to make things crystal clear, so let’s look at some numbers. Say sixty people make a UB download and then earn WSOP Main Event seats by playing satellite SnGs. This means that UB will place $300k ($5k x 60) into the WSOP prize pool and each person will get $3.75k as a bonus amount ($300k/60 x 0.75). If 3 players go ahead and place in the money in the tournament, they will split the remaining 25% and get an additional $300k x 0.25 / 3 = $25k each. Not bad for a few days of poker!
If you can go all the way and get dealt poker hands at the final table, the site will give you the way to make extra cash via a sponsorship deal. The sponsorship payments are as low as $75k and as high as $750k. To receive this cash, you will be required to endorse the site for a year after the event.
If you’re serious about MTT poker, you should be thinking about the Main Event and you should be considering UB. The progressive prize pool is great because it guarantees you’ll receive at least a bit of a bonus for representing UB, and cashing in the event has the potential to earn you tens of thousands more. Good luck in WSOP 2010 to Team UB!
